Early Registration ON-LINE saves! ( i.e. multiple child discounts available on-line only)
On-Line Registration Begins September 1, 2017
Registration is on a first come first received basis. Once a gender/grade division is full, we close that gender/grade registration. We strongly encourage on-line early registration to: 1) reduce the potential of being wait listed; 2) lower a families overall cost in fees; and 3) improve the quality of the information entered into the Upward League Management computer system. Walk-in registrations during the Evaluation nights are not guaranteed and are considered a late registration pending League capacity limits. We make every effort to include every child interested but are limited by team size and number of teams due to gym time available to the League. Read More

Each child is evaluated in a low-pressure environment (it is NOT a "tryout") where we assess their skills. Everyone attends one basketball evaluation. Each child's evaluation itself takes about 10-15 minutes. The overall orientation and evaluation process takes approximately 1 hour. Orientation, uniform sizing and skill evaluation all take place in the Taft Christian Life Center of Jarvis Memorial UMC. The entrance is on the Greene Street side of the church. Read More
Upward Cheerleading teaches the fundamentals of cheerleading by focusing on strong skill development and provides a safe, fun and affirming experience. Learn chants, motions, jumps, cheers and pom routines while making new friends! Upward Cheerleading squads are determined by age. Squads rotate the teams they cheer for throughout the season. Cheers encourage all players. Cheerleaders (K5 - 6th grade) practice one evening each week during the 11 week season (Dec - Feb) with games on Saturdays ( during Jan - Feb). Practice night and time are fixed while game times vary each Saturday depending on schedule. Read More
